Record breaking continuous for total transaction of traded shares & equities at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday (May 19, 2021) to cross Taka 2,000 crore since January 2021. The money transactions on the DSE have also increased by a large margin for 3 consecutive days. Today on Wednesday (May 19, 2021), trading at DSE has ended with total turnover of more than Taka 2,000 crore (Tk. 20,990.515 mn), highest since January 17, 2021) on which day the total transaction value was Tk. 23,848.739 mn.
The transaction value of traded shares has noticeably increased over Taka 379 crore (Tk. 3794.1740 mn), a Hugh 22.06384% increase from its previous day (May 18, 2021) total transaction value of Tk. 17,196.341 mn.
DSEX (main price index at DSE) has also increase by 43.90536 points, ended at 5873.13719 points. This is a 0.75319% increase from its previous day (May 18, 2021) value of 5829.23183 points. The other two indices at DSE, DSES has increased by 1.27033 points and DS30 has increased by 6.20751 on the same day.
A total of 364 companies have been traded on the DSE on Wednesday (May 19, 2021). Despite the high increase in total transaction value by 22.06384%, price have increased for only 132 companies where price have decreased for 176 companies and price for 56 companies remain unchanged.
On the other hand, the overall index CASPI on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased by 147 points. The index stands at 17,041 points. Shares worth Tk. 127.57 crore were traded on the CSE.
A total of 297 companies and mutual funds traded on the CSE. Of these, 129 have increased, 141 have decreased and 27 have remained unchanged.
