On the first working day of the week for new month of MAY, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has ended trading positively on Sunday (2 May 2021). On this day the total transaction turnover has reached Taka 1400 crore (Taka 14,069.643 mn) which has increased over 19% compared to its transactions (Taka 11,728.884 mn) from last working day (Thursday, 29 April 2021). This is the highest transaction value on DSE in the last 3 months. Earlier, shares worth of Tk 1,575.22 crore were traded on the DSE on January 25. Compared to previous day, the transaction has increased by Taka 234 crore 7 lakh.
On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) index increased but the transaction decreased.
The DSE main price index DSEX has also increased by 36 points to 5517.01956 points. Among the other two indices, the DSE30 index has risen by 12 points and the DSES or Shariah index has risen by 5 points.
On Sunday, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has a total of 361 companies’ traded, where 180 companies’ prices advanced, 104 companies’ prices declined, and 77 companies’ prices remained unchanged.
On the other hand, the overall index CASPI on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has increased by 128 points. The index stands at 15,963 points. Shares worth Tk 31.06 crore were traded on the CSE.A total of 26 companies and mutual funds traded on the CSE. Of these, 145 have increased, 72 have decreased and 40 have remained unchanged.
